Sec. 7 -1 ADOPTION OF SOUTH FLORIDA BUILDING CODE
The "South Flo ida' Bu 11Mng Code" 157 Edition is adopted as
the Building Code for the City bf South Miami, Flora "dA. Three copies
of this 'South Florida Building Code are on file-'in the office of the
City Clerk.
Sec. 7.2 REFERENCES TO OFFICIALS IN BUILDING CODE
Whereyver the terms "Build,ing Official`;" "PlumbingIis`pector,"
"Electrical' Inspector," "j urks'diction," 'regulatory authority,' or
terms shall appear, they shall refer to the properly designa-
ted inspector`s "or assistant inspectors of the Building Department of
City of South Miami, and to the authority and 'Jurisdiction of City
of South Miami and its officials and employees.

(a) The mininun permit 'fee that can be written shall be $1.50
(b) Double Fee: In the event that any work for which A permit
is required, by this "`ordinance is started or proceeded with
prior to the obtaining of said permit by 'the duly authorized
person, the fees s ecified for such work shall be doubled.
The payment of suc double fee shall not relieve. any person
from fully complying with the requirements of the Electrical
Code in the execution of the work nor from any other penalties
prescribed therein.

Sec. L8 ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE
SURVEY; FILING PREREQUIS ITE TO
Prior to the Iissuance of a certificate of occupancy for anyEbuild-
ing either newly constructed ,altered, or improved in" any fashion,

the filing with the Building Department, a 'finial certified survey're-

Sec. 7.9 SAME-- NOTICE TO CORRECT DAMAGE OR UNSIGHTLY CONDITIONS.
In the event there has been damage to public ,pro" t' or improve-
per ments, or debris,' construction sheds, undesirable materials or un-
sight�,y material left'on the building site or adjacent prop erCy,lthen the

the owner or thejgontractor to commence correctional steps immediately
to alleviate the condition, or the damage which has resulted within
five days from the notification.

SEC.;; 7.11 PENALTIES FOR 'VIOLATION
Any person'; natural or otherwise, violating any of the provisions
of this MAIO , ter shall upon conviction thereof be punished as provided
in Sec. 1-8 of-this Code.
