WHEREAS, on the 26th day of January, 19'60 the Planning and
Zoning Board of the City duly held 'a public heazin for the purpose
of 'determining the necessary and advisable,amendmeats to' Section 20.40
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of South'Miami; and
WHEREAS, the said Board has recommended certain changes to
the City Council; and _

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH MIAMI:
Section 20 -40 of the Code of Ord`inanc "es of the City of South
Miami, Florida is hereby amended so that said section reads as follows:
Sec. 20 -40 - Fences
(1) Fences and walls h *iher than `five 'feet above grade
are prohibited on or mutt_ng on property zoned or "used for residential
purposes except as provided 'i'n subsection (2) herein.
