You are hereby advised that if any person desires to appeal any decision
with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, such
person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the
appeal is based. -

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, FIXING THE MILLAGE AND LEVYING TAXES
IN THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR
1989.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, Florida Statutes,
tax assessments for all real property within the jurisdiction of
the City of South Miami for the calendar year 1988 has been made
by the property appraiser for Dade County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the above -cited statutory
provision, the Mayor and City Commission is required to adopt a
tentative and thereafter a final millage rate for the taxing
jurisdiction of the City of South Miami.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That there shall be and hereby is levied
upon property in the City of South Miami, Florida, a tax of
mills on the dollar for the calendar year 1989 , for the
operational expenses of the government of the City for the fiscal
year beginning October 1st, 1988, and ending September 30th,
1989. This millage rates exceeds the rolled back rate by
percent, and this will result in property taxes -being increased
by percent.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on October
1., 1988.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE 1988/89
FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City 'Manager has submitted a proposed
budget together with a budget message and supporting schedules;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 200, Florida Statutes, the
Mayor and City Commission is required to adopt a tentative, and
thereafter, a final budget for the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Budget for fiscal year 1988/89, as
submitted by the City Manager, attached hereto as Exhibit "1't in
an amount of $ be and the same is hereby approved as a
tentative budget, with adoption upon second reading and public
hearing.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on October
1, 1988.
