I Em writing to tell you about one of the mc-: exciting concepts that l have encountered in my
years in Tallahassee. I hope you'll take the :ire to read this request and to tend your support
to our effort.
We are seeking municipal support for this e'fo -t. We would ask Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah,
and Coral Gables to each consider a $3000 commitment and each other municipality in Dade a
$1000 commitment,
We are attempting to raise a matching amotatt in the private sector, as well.
As you can imagine, this is a major undertaking and the logistics and coordination of this
effort are enormous.
With your financial assistance, the success of DADE COUNTY DAY will be certain, and we
tope that you will not only join us in fir- -eially supporting this effort, but that you and
members of your staff will join us on DAD? DAY. There will be charter flights leaving Miami
early that morning and returning that eves for participants. The: cost of. the flight and all
functions in Tallahassee is $250 per person. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due by March 15th,
with payment in full due April 15th.
Thank you for your cooperation. I am enc-losing some papers which will describe the day's
activities and some of ; the ent particip +s.
