!1r. H. M.. Rodenbaugh,
Vice -Pros. and Gen. I]gr.
Florida Last Coast Railway Go.,
St. AuCastine, Florida.
Dear Sir:
I am enolosing- herewith Resolutions adopted
by the council of the 'town of South Miami at its
regular meeting I_eld last night. This Resolution
in sent you pursuant to a telegram of even date,
( oopy herewith enclosed ).
Tho people of the To:in of South iiiami are very
anxious to see this station rebuilt as soon as possible
a:nd also that it will be a modern station in every sense
of the word. You, or course, know that- LSouth Miami was
reoently incorporated as a town. For -.fr information,
we wish to advise that the town has great plants for
future developments;some time next year they are con-
templating floating a bond issue for the purpose of
making certain improvements. Resolutions have already
been passed for special ",,a$essments for the purpose of
putting in sidewalks, eto., and therefore, they would
like very much to have you construct a station which
would be in accordance with the plans of the future
development of the town rather than in keeping with the
building which was there. Of course, the station which
burned was suited for the time it was built. The people,
as well as the council itself, are very anxious to co-
operate with you in the construction of this station
and sha71 appreciate the opportunity of meeting you,
or your engineers, at some convenient place and time
to go over the plans for this building.
We should certainly appreciate any consideration
given vs.in this matter. Please let us hear from you
in reference to it, and oblige
JGS/M=
ur.Sullivan
Yours very truly,
BENSON, MOGARRY & SULLIVAN
