AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, FIXING THE MILLAGE AT 6.373 WHICH EXCEEDS THE ROLLBACK RATE BY 3.34% AND RESULTING IN NO CHANGE IN PROPERTY TAX RATE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI. FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2000/2001. WHEREAS, pursuant to section 200.065, Florida statutes, tax assessments for all real property within the jurisdiction of the City of South Miami for the fiscal year 2000/2001 has been made by the property appraiser for Dade County; and. WHEREAS, pursuant to the above -cited statutory provision, the Mayor and City Commission are required to adopt a tentative and thereafter a final millage rate for the taxing jurisdiction of the City of South Miami; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. There shall be and hereby is levied upon real property in the City of South Miami, Florida, a tax of 6373 mills on the dollar for the fiscal year 2000 /2001 for the operation expenses of the government of the City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2000, and ending September 30, 2001. This millage rate exceeds the rollback rate by 3.34 %. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on October 1, 2000. AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A BUDGET OF $12,172,435 AND PAY PLAN FOR THE 2000/2001 FISCAL YEAR. WHEREAS, the City Manager has submitted a proposed budget together with a budget message and supporting schedule including a pay plan; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 200, Florida Statutes, the Mayor and City Commission are required to adopt a tentative, and thereafter, a final budget for the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Budget for the Fiscal year, as submitted by the City Manager, including the pay plan, as filed in the City Clerk's Office, in an amount of $12,172,435 be and the same is hereby approved.
