Gentlemen:
In connection with the construction of the electric
transmission line-on the north side of North 4th Street
between North 4th Avenue and Red Road; and on the north
side of Miller Drive between North 4th Avenue and Ludlam
Road and which lines will fortify the power supply to ojj�
Coconut Grove and 62nd Avenue Substations which serve a
large part of the South Miami Area„ we wish to confirm
by this letter our previous discussion with you:
1. The lines will be constructed in accordance
with all requirements of the National Electric
Safety Code.
The existing electric distribution line along
North 4th Street will be constructed on the trans-
mission line poles in accordance with such Code.
The maximum span anticipated for the transmission
poles is 300 feet. The minimum ground clearance
from the bottom of the sixty -six thousand volts
(66 kv) conductor will be approximately 40 feet
based on a 300 foot span:
Standard clearances for a 66 kv conductor over
or alongside of a building is 10 feet 8 inches for
a 150 foot span and proportionately greater to 12-
feet 2 inches for a 300 foot span.

"The Company will so! construct these lines -as to
provide standard clearances between the lines and
any existing buildings and structures. We are ad-
vised that insurance' rates on existing buildings
will not be increased if the lines are constructed
with standard clearances.
3. Should North 4th Street be widened at some
future date, the Company will relocate its facili-
ties on the right of way thereof without cost or
expense whatsoever to the City.
