A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES; RE- APPOINTING DR. MACARENA CARRETERO AND MONIQUE DE PAREDES, AND APPOINTING ALICIA BRAVO TO SERVE ON THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN FOR A TWO YEAR TERM ENDING MARCH 15, 2006; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission recognize the important contributions made by those who serve on the various city boards and committees, and wish to appoint a full complement to each of the active boards and committees; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to re- appoint Dr. Macarena Carretero and Monique de Paredes, and to appoint Alicia Bravo to serve for a two year term on the Commission for women. Appointments shall expire March 15, 2006 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission hereby re- appoints Dr. Macarena Carretero and Monique de Paredes, and appoints Alicia Bravo to the Commission for Women. Section 2. The expiration date of these appointments shall be March 15, 2006 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. wil Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.
