City.Commission "of the City of South Miami will conduct a discussion workshop in the City Commission Chambers at the above address on the followingitem: SW 62 AVE. CORRIDOR CHARRETTE REPORT A report on future development on SW 62 Avenue between SW 64'" Street and SW 70th Street was prepared by consultants from the - University °of Miami and Planning and Zoning Department staff from the City of South Miami. The report is a result of a neighborhood oriented planning.process' (charrette) held in. 'November 2002. The. report contains. recommendations on the future development of the area and covers such issues as_ allowable building heights, size of buildings,. building design, allowable permitted uses, .buffering from adjacent residences, parking requirements, street width, number of lanes, sidewalks and landscaping;. The basic recommendation of the Charrette Report is that S.W. 621" Avenue, from SW 64'" Street to SW 701h Street should be, revitalized. The report also recommends that the subject area become a mixed use area with buildings of two to three stories. A Citizen's Report, dated February, 2003- concerning alternate proposals for the SW 62 Ave, Corridor and the recommendations of the City's Planning Board will also be discussed. All interested parties are urged to attend. interested parties requesting information are asked to contact the Planning and Zoning Department by calling 305- 663 -6326- or writing to the address indicated above.
