RESOLUTION
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
The Parks and Recreation Department has solicited quotations for the installation of a
concrete parking area, and the lowest responsive quotation was submitted by Leadex
Corporation in the amount of $5,979.10. Leadex Corporation is providing a one -year
guarantee on labor and materials.
The attached resolution would authorize the City Manager to disburse funds in the
2mount of $5,979.00 to Leadex Corporation for this work. Funding is available in the
Land and Water Conservation • r 00 1.0000.131.1461 -

RECOMMENDMION
We recommend that the City Manager be authorized to disburse the amount of
$5,979.00 to Leadex Corporation for the installation of the concrete parking area at
Brewer Park.
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has received grant funding through the Florida
Department • Environmental Protection's Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) for
improvements to Brewer Park; and
WHEREAS, one element of the improvements project is the installation of a concrete parking
area in place of the existing un-paved parking area; and
WHEREAS, Leadex Corporation has provided the lowest responsive quotation for the installation
• the concrete parking area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ff RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMM1 SI i OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
SeLtion 1. That the City Manager is authorized to disburse $5,979.00 to Leadex Corporation
('or the installation of the concrete parking area at Brewer Park.
Section 2. That the payment in the amount • $5,979,00 be charged to the Land and Wat]
Conservation Fund grant Account Number 00 1. 0000. 13 1.146 1, which currently has a balance of
$167,233.

Terms Of Proposal:
1) Acceptance of this proposal shall be acceptance of all terms and oanditions recited hereina or incorporated
by reference, allowing JSM to commence preparation for work, signed proposal will constitute acceptance
by brayer of this proposal and its terms and conditions. Quotation herein, unlless otherwise stated, is for
immediate acceptance and not subject to cbange.
2) No back charges or claims shall be valid sunless previously authorized in writing by JSIr1 and unless
written notice is given by owner to JSM tern (10) slays pp-'or- to the execution of charge explaining basis of
proposed charge to be considered by JSM. for approval or denial.
3) All sums not paid when dude shall bear interest at the rate of 1.5% per rnorath ft-om due date until paid or
the maximum legal rate permitted by law whichever is greater, plans all oasts of collection, including
reasonable attorney's fees. Said rate of interest shall continue even past judgement. Due refers to date
agreed in proposal but never more than 30 days from completion, unless agreed by bath panties and stated
in proposals
) If paymetrt is not made to JSM as herein provided, alien JSM may stop work without prejudice to any
rather remedy it may have. If on site -wari, is rcquired, buyer is to prepare all work areas so as to he
asscesible and acceptable for JSMI's work JSM wila not be called upon to work until sufficient areas are
ready to allow logical, continued and efficient proguess for the work until completion.
