A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE
SOUTH MIAMI COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY;
APPROVING THE AGENCY'S RE- FORMATTED BUDGET FOR FY
2004 -05: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BACKGROUND
In 2004 the South Miami Community Redevelopment Agency was required to receive a
program extension from Miami Dade County which included a comprehensive update of its
Community Plan. As part of the program extension the SMCRA was required to revise its
current budget in order to more clearly relate expenditures to program activities. The revised
and re- formatted SMCRA Budget for FY 2004 -05 was adopted by the Agency Board at its May
9, 2005 meeting.
The re- formatted SMCRA Budget for FY 2004 -05 is being presented to the City Commission
for approval.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the proposed resolution be adopted.

10 WHEREAS, in 2004 the SMCRA was required to receive a program extension from

23 COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:

25 Section 1. That the City Commission hereby approves the South Miami Community
26 Redevelopment Agency's revised and re- formatted budget for FY 2004 -050

A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH MIAMI COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (SMCRA), RELATING TO AMENDMENT
OF 2004 -2005 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET; APPROVING AND ADOPTING
THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO
TRANSFER LINE ITEMS IN THE BUDGET AS SET FORTH IN THE
ATTACHED ITEMIZED LIST PURSUANT TO ARTICLE IV F(l) OF THE
CITY CHARTER AS OF THE END OF THE BUDGET YEAR ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 2005, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
TO TAKE SUCH MEASURES AS ARE NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH
THOSE TRANSFERS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Article IV F (1) of the charter of City of South Miami, Florida, provides for
amendment of the city budget by transferring any unencumbered appropriation balance or portion
thereof from one office department to another within the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director has set forth a series of recommendations in the
attached itemized list to transfer unencumbered appropriation balance in line items from one City
department to another as of the budget year ending September 30, 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH MIAMI COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD:
Section 1. That the recommendations of the Executive Director be, and hereby are,
approved and adopted as set forth in the attached itemized list to transfer unencumbered
appropriation between line items of the budget pursuant to the City Charter as of the end of the
first quarter for 2004 -2005 budget year.
Section 2. That the Executive Director be, and hereby is, authorized to take such
measures as are necessary to accomplish those transfers.
Section 3, That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval
