Request: The Police Department is requesting to purchase five (5) 800 mhz radio packages as approved in the 2006/07 budget. Reason /Need: Our current radio system is over ten (10) years old. Miami -Dade County is replacing /updating their equipment because the model currently being used is no longer in production and repair pants are slowly diminishing. There are currently ten (10) radios that can not be or are too expensive to be repaired.
