07-24-07 Item 25a5 RESOLUTION NO.: A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, APPROVING ALLOCATION OF $250,000 RECEIVED FROM SOUTH MIAMI HOSPITAL FOR SERVING AS BOND AGENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wishes to utilize the $250,000 received from South Miami Hospital for serving as bond agent; and WHEREAS the City Commission proposes that the $250 000 be allocated to and utilize to fund the following projects: 1. Funding needed for the Old Inspection Station Municipal Parking lot design $60,000 2. Gibson — Bethel Community Center security Fencing $50,000 3. Preservation of Tree Canopy Citywide $10,000 4. Purchase of passenger van to transport youth for recreational activities $25,000 5. Supplemental funding for the installation of field lights at Murray Park $35,000 6. Funding for the purchase of the Dison property $50,000 7. Funding for 80t" Birthday celebration $20,000 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH M 4341, FLORIDA THAT: Section 1: That the Mayor and City Commission approve allocation of the $250,000 received from South Miami Hospital for the following projects: 1. Funding needed for the Old Inspection Station Municipal Parking lot design: $60,000 2. Gibson — Bethel Community Center security Fencing $50,000 3. Preservation of Tree Canopy Citywide $10,000 4.
