(CONTRACTUAL SERVICES); AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Request: Authorizing the City Manager to disburse $9,966.00 for the purchase and installation of a floating water fountain at Fuch's Park. Reason /Need: Prompt replacement of the 8 year old fountain was required due to. its damaged beyond repair condition at the lake. The new water fountain will help the aeration process of the Park's lake and further enhance the beauty of the Park. In accordance with the City's purchasing policy, we have "piggybacked" on the City of Jacksonville's Aviation Authoritity's Contract for the purchase. WHEREAS, Fuchs park is among one of the Cities park used by residents for event rentals and simply enjoyment due to its serene atmosphere brought by its landscape and water fall like sounds of the lake; and WHEREAS, the floating water fountain is damaged beyond repair due to its age requiring prompt replacement; and WHEREAS, in accordance with City's competitive bidding procedures, we have chosen to "piggy back" using the City of Jacksonville's Aviation Authority Contract: and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH, MIAMI: Section 1: The City Manager be, and hereby is authorized to disburse the sum of $9,966.00 for the purchase, and installation of a_floating water.fountainat Fuchs park.
