A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES; APPOINTING JORGE CRUZ TO SERVE ON THE PLANNING BOARD FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM OF ENDING OCTOBER 16, 2008; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission recognize the important contributions made by those who serve on the various city boards and committees, and wish to appoint a full complement to each of the active boards and committees; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint Jorge Cruz to serve for an unexpired term on the Planning Board. The appointment shall expire October 16, 2008 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission hereby appoints Jorge Cruz to the Planning Board. Section 2. The expiration date of this appointment shall be October 16, 2008 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.
