Subject: Request for a City Resolution
To: JamesEJIMCHAR a..aol.com
Please ask your fellow City Commissioners to consider a resolution supporting
the Miami - Orlando bullet train, and the future of Tri -Rail.
It makes no sense that the bullet train should be awarded to Tampa over Miami.
It makes no sense that state legislators should - year after year - fail Tri -Rail.
Tampa doesn't have the required transportation infrastructure to support a bullet
train. South Florida does - Tri -Rail.
Tampa doesn't have the number of tourist attractions that South Florida has.
Tampa doesn't have the density that South - Florida has.
Tampa and its environs cannot match the (3) International Airports in South
Florida, nor the Port of Miami and Port Everglades. South Florida is truly the
gateway to the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and Europe.
In short, Tampa doesn't offer as much as South Florida.
Attached is a boiler plate resolution you may consider.
If I may help in anyway, please ask.
Thank you, .
