RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO
BOARDS AND COMMITTEES; APPOINTING ALEJANDRO
REMOS TO SERVE ON THE GREEN TASK FORCE FOR AN
UNEXPIRED ENDING DECEMBER 3, 2009; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Mayor and Commission recognize the important contributions
made by those who serve on the various city boards and committees, and wish to appoint a
full complement to each of the active boards and committees; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission desires to appoint Alejandro Remos to serve
for an unexpired term on the Green Task Force. Appointment shall expire December 3,
2009 or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appoints Alejandro Remos to the
Green Task Force.
Section 2. The expiration date of this appointment shall be December 3, 2009
or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.

Remos Building & Development Corp. (Remos) is a full service real estate
development company working exclusively in the South Florida region, with in -house
architectural, engineering and construction divisions. Alejandro Remos, Architect is the
CEO and President with over 25 years experience in the design, construction and real
estate industry. Before starting Remos in 1995, Mr. Remos designed & developed 140
single family homes and 200 multi - family units from South Dade to Broward counties.
Projects included Redland Point, Sunrise Point, Circle's Edge and Woodland Place.
Following are some of the projects that have been designed, constructed and /or
developed by Remos since 1995:
• Single Family Residences —1995. Design and construction of five single
family homes in Miami Beach, Kendall & Pinecrest. Cost $2.OM
• Trans - Express Warehouse /Offices Building —1996. Remodeling and
renovation of an existing 34,000 sf. Office building and the construction
of a 15,000 sf. office /warehouse building on an adjacent parcel located on
NW 36 street and the Palmetto expressway. Cost $2.1M
• Newport Hotel & Resort —1996 -1999. Miscellaneous remodeling and
renovations to a 355 room hotel in Sunny Isles Beach converted to time
share. Cost $5.3M
• Chapel Trail Commerce Center —1997 -2000. Design, construction &
development of 16 acres in Pembroke Pines into five buildings totaling
234,000 sf. of flex - warehouse /office and mini storage, for rent — 100%
leased. Cost $10.2M
• Somerset Educational Village — 2000 -2005. Land acquisition, design,
construction and development of 17 acres in Pembroke Pines into seven
buildings housing an Elementary, Middle and High Charter School
138,000 sf. Cost $173M.
• Chapel Trail Trade Center — 2001 -2006. Land acquisition, design,
construction and development of 18 acres in Pembroke Pines into four
buildings totaling 217,000 sf. Of condominium warehouse /office.
$15M Sellout.
• Mater Academy High School — 2003. Design & construction renovation
of a 125,000 square foot warehouse building in Hialeah Gardens into a
High School Charter. Cost $5.8M.
• Atria Office Complex — 2003 -2005. Land acquisition, design,
construction and development of 6 acres in Pembroke Pines. Two
buildings 125,000 sf. Of condominium medical and professional office
space. $19M Sellout.
• Veneto in Miramar — 2006 - present. Land acquisition, design,
construction and development of 5.25 acres in Miramar, two building each
90,000 sf. for a total of 180,000 sf of condominium medical &
professional offices space. First tower completed in early 2008. $32M
Sellout.
• Somerset School in South Miami — 2008. Land acquisition and
presently designing a 27,000 sf. K -8 Charter School in City of South
Miami to be constructed by August 2009. Cost $5.5M.
