ORDINANCE NO. 609
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SEC. 20-22 (2) OF
CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE
"MOTION PICTURE STUDIO" AS PERMITTED USE;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIB-
ING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PRO-
VISIONS HEREOF; AND, DECLARING INTENT HERE-
UNDER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Sec. 20-22 (2) of Chapter 20 of the Code
of Ordinances, City of South Miami; Florida, be and the same hereby
is amended by adding thereto, as a permitted use:
"Motion .Picture Studio, including sound recording .
studio and administrative offices: provided, however,
that all filming and sound recording shall be within
soundproof and air conditioned building or buildings."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed insofar
as they are in conflict.
Section 3. That any person, persons, firm, partnership
or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed $500.00,
or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both such fine
and imprisonment in the discretion. of the Municipal Judge. Each
day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a
separate offense.
Section 4. It is the intent that this ordinance be
permanent in nature and shall be included in the Code of Ordinances
of the City of South Miami, Florida, 'and the .sections hereof may be
renumbered for such purpose.
