Mrs. Mark was concerned that surrounding buildings are ,very concentrated on the color yellow. Mrs. Mark suggested that Staff provide the Board with pictures of the surrounding properties in the future. Mr. Rivera suggested for the tower to be pressure cleaned before it is painted. - Mr. Chandler opened for Public Hearing. No discussion Mr. Chandler closed the Public Hearing. Mr. Balli questioned if the color scheme occurs on the same plane. Mrs. Cabrera-Hernandez responded that the facade will have two colors split in two. Mr. Balli recommended for the applicant to not split the colors in two, but instead consider one solid color. He questioned how the building was painted as of the moment. The applicant responded that it is painted with the division. Mr. Bedell questioned if this was previously approved. Mrs. Cabrera-Hernandez replied yes. Mr. Balli suggested making a change to paint the entire facade, but not to break the paint on the same plane of the building with two colors. He further commented that the applicant either paints the whole face or whole mass or the other face but breaking at the corners rather then breaking in the middle of the facade. Mrs. Mark questioned if that includes the tower. Mr. Balli replied that it includes the tower that is on the other side: Mr. Chandler opened for Public Hearing. No discussion Mr. Chandler closed the Public Hearing. Motion: Mr. Bedell moved to approve the application with the condition that they paint the entire facade facing the street or the smaller facade facing the other direction, breaking the colors on the corner not how it is proposed. Mr. Rivera commented that in the meeting of May 25, 2010, he felt that a person speaking during the public hearing addressed the Board and stated that the Board was not doing their job in listening to what the City Commission had previously stated. He further commented that the Board does take into account what the City Commissions comments and the Board does look at the final resolution not at all of what was discussed. VI. Background & Staff Analysis: On October 20, 2009 (ERPB item number ERPB 09-073),, the Environmental Review and Preservation Board (ERPB), moved to approve as presented the following exterior paint colors: Pittsburgh Paint#111-2 (Blonde Beauty) for Exterior Walls of the building Pittsburgh Paint#112-1 (Capri Cream) for the exterior doors Pittsburgh Paint#212-3 (Butterfly Bush) for the trim The first revision was approved as presented by the ERPB on April 20, 2010 under ERPB item number ERPB-10=017. This was an effort to have a uniform color between all of the buildings maintained by Larkin Community Hospital. The revision consisted in the change of the accent color to Sherwin Williams #180 for the trim in lieu of Pittsburgh Paint#212=3 (Butterfly Bush) This is the second revision, Captri Painting Contractors, Inc., is proposing to increase the exterior paint area of the accent color, Sherwin Williams #180. The additional area to be painted is illustrated on the attached copy of the existing exterior fagade photographs of the subject. For example, the dimensions noted indicate the additional area to be painted no further than three feet beyond the. existing windows on that fagade. The Board has customarily applied the above guidelines to commercial painting in other `zoning districts other than Specialty Retail. Pursuant to Section 20-8.13(A)[20-7.24(A)] Architectural Standards-Colors the Land Development Code the newly proposed color scheme complies with the guidelines.
