RESOLUTION NO.:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SEEK FOR FUNDING AND ISSUE NECCESARY
WORK ORDER TO IMPROVE THE CITY OWNED PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 5890 SW 69 STREET (OLD INSPECTION
STATION) INTO A MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of South Miami owns a parcel of land located at 5890 SW
69th Street (Old Inspection Station); and
WHEREAS, the immediate surrounding area does not currently have sufficient
public parking to meet current parking demands; and
WHEREAS, if the subject property is converted to a municipal lot it would serve
to provide additional parking to meet the area's parking needs and also serve as a source
of revenue to the city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI THAT:
Section 1: The city manager is authorized to seek for applicable funding and
issue work order to construct a municipal parking lot at the property located at 5890 SW
69th Street (Old Inspection Station).
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon execution.
