To the Mayor and City Counsel of the City of South Miami Dade County, Florida Rea Dade County Building, Planning add Zoning hearing #7 Gentlemen: It has been made known to us that the City of South Miami has filed before the Dade County Building, Planning and Zoning Board, a protest against our request of variance in the set back requirements on property backing on to SW 61st Avenue. We had requested this variance in order to construct a two car garage and hobby-play room. It was necessary to- request this variance as the distance from the rear of the existing building; is fourty-seven feet six inches to the rear lot line of the property. The proposed building is to be twenty-six feet deep. The County requires a fifteen foot air-way bet- ween two unattached buildings. At the present timo the County requires a thirty foot set back from Sly( 61st Avenue. This thirty feet plus the fifteen foot air-way would leave only a two foot six inch space on which to build. It is impossible to put the proposed building on either side of the existing building as there is not enough footage end there are septic tanks on each side. It is also impossible to attach the proposed building to the back of the existing building as it would close in the two bedroom windows. Vie therefore respectfully ask that you reconsider this pro- test at the October 4th meeting. We have an appointment "with Mr. C. C. Czebrinski, Deputy Director of the Dade County Planning, Zoning and Building Department on Wednesday, October 5th, for further discussion on our hearing. As a basis for our request we are submitting, with this letter, a plot plan survey, a map of the area showing existing buildings and pictures. The City of South Miami ' s protest was the only protest filed with the Dade County Building, Planning and Zoning Board.
