Signage for the Best Western was previously reviewed by the Board, on the ERPB meeting of December 17, 2002, and the signage located on the east and west elevations were approved, and two other sings deferred. An alternative proposed sign for the front and rear facade has been submitted for review, will read "Best Western SOUTH MIAMI" located on the wall above the existing canopy awnings by the entrances. The new signs will cover an area of 18 square feet (3'X3' & 1'X9') each in lieu of 24.3 square feet,previously reviewed. First time being proposed, one non-illuminated wall plaque next to the front entrance door and six square feet (2'-9 1/6"x2"-2 1/8") will read"Best Western SOUTH MIAMI." Two out of the three signs are illuminated and the trademark color is blue, to presented at the meeting. The request complies with the Land Development Code.
