Mr. Mackey gave a Staff Report which recommends that the request not be approved. The Chair deemed public hearing to be in session. Mr. Hodes signed in explaining that the encroachment concerns the canopy which extends into the setback by 18". Mr. Hodes also presented the required signatures. This change would primarily have a cosmetic _ __ -L-L iiati liii.uumeu mr.. noaes or the "hardship" requirement for granting a variance. No one else wished to speak and the public hearing was deemed closed. Mr. Ligammare expressed his concern with setting a precedent as did Ms. Thorner. The Board agreed that this is a strong consideration. Ms. Wright made a motion to deny this request. Seconded by Mr. Ligammare.
