Action: Mr. Trautman called the meeting to order at 8:33 A.M.

Applicant's Request:
The applicant is requesting approval for the installation of signage at the above
referenced property which is located in the Hospital (H) zoning district.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
The applicant is proposing the installation of two (2) signs that will be located on the
west and south side of the existing two-story building. Considered to be flat signs,
Section 20-4.3(1)(5) All Other Zoning Districts, of the Land Development Code, provides
the following regulations for flat signs:
FLAT signs with a total aggregate sign area, not to exceed twenty
(20) percent of the area of any building face; for the purposes of
sign regulation, there shall be considered to be only four (4)
facades to any building, no single sign shall exceed two hundred
(200) square feet in area. Direct illumination is permitted.
The proposed non-illuminated signage will both read "Larkin Community Hospital" on
three lines of text, with the logo to the left. Both signs will be stud mounted to the wall
and consist of lettering that will be colored teal, white and black. Both of the signs that
are being proposed at this time will have a total height of 4'-1" and a total width of 15-
8", which equates to a sign area of approximately 63.94 square feet.
After review of the project it was found that the signage being proposed at this time
complies with Section 20-4.3(1)(5) of the Land Development Code. Because of this,
Staff recommends approval for the project.
