Staff Analysis: At the February 16, 2010 ERPB meeting, the Board moved to approve item number ERPB 10-008 with no conditions. The following colors that were approved at that meeting were: Pittsburgh Paint#111-2 (Blonde Beauty) for Exterior Walls of the building Pittsburgh Paint-#112-1 (Capri Cream) for the exterior doors Pittsburgh Paint#212-3 (Butterfly Bush) for the trim In an effort to have a uniform color between all of the buildings maintained by Larkin Hospital, the owners have elected to revise .the color scheme. The applicant is proposing to change the accent color to Sherwin Williams #180 for the trim. Pursuant to Section 20-8.13(A)[20-7.24(A)] Architectural Standards-Colors, Land Development Code; Applicants may choose up to four colors for a single building (one (1) or two (2) body colors, one (1) or two (2) trim colors, and one (1) accent color, these may be the same or different). The Board has customarily used the above guidelines to respond to commercial painting in other zoning districts other than Specialty Retail, and may continue to do so. Pursuant to the Land Development Code the newly proposed color scheme is acceptable, a total of three colors are being proposed. Please refer to the attached copy of the paint color samples and. photographs provided by the applicant for additional information. The original set of color samples will be available at the meeting. Vote: 4 Approved 0 Opposed REMARKS: Mr. Chandler commented that he had a brief conversation with Mayor Philip Stoddard in regards to the Board and the Mayor e-mailed several questions to ask the Board. Mr. Chandler questioned if the Board would mind having an early evening meeting as opposed to an early morning meeting. Mr. Chandler responded that the Board is geared mostly toward professionals who would do business throughout the day. Mr. Bedell commented that most businesses are run throughout the day. Mrs. Mark commented that by having an evening meeting contractors would have to postpone business and adjust their work schedules to attend a meeting, when instead during the morning they can come to the meeting submit and continue working throughout the day. ERPB Mins 4-20-2010 Pg 5 of 6 Mr. Chandler stated that the mayor asked if the Board had a Public hearing section. He responded that the Board has opened a public hearing section for the residents who wish to voice their opinions. Mr. Chandler stated that the mayor also asked if the meeting has been recorded by a City Staff member and if all materials are posted on the website. He responded yes, the meetings are recorded. Mr. Chandler questioned if complete packages for the ERPB are available on the website. Mr. Vageline replied that anyone is welcome to come to the meeting; we have added the component of public hearing, the public notice is advertised three days in advance. Mr. Vageline commented that he does not mind posting the package on the website. He further commented that he will look into contacting the MIS Department, since they manage the posting on the City's website. Mr. Vageline informed the Board that before the meeting the drafted minutes are posted to the website and after they are approved and finalized,the minutes are reposted. The Board voted that they are in favor of keeping the Environmental Review and Preservation Board at the it's regular time.
