Section 2.Waiver of Fees.Pursuant to Section 1 5B-6(I I)of the City Code,the City Commission hereby waives event-related fees and costs for the Event in an amount not to exceed $15,659.49,provided and conditioned upon the City Manager approving the application for the Event and the Applicant’s compliance with all requirements under Section 15B of the City Code. Section 3.Applicability of All Other Fees and Requirements.Except as waived and provided for herein,all other requirements of the Code remain applicable to the Event,and the City Manager shall ensure compliance with all Code requirements. Section 4.Implementation.The City Manager is hereby authorized to take any and all necessary action to implement the purposes of this Resolution. Section 5.Corrections.Conforming language or technical scrivener-type corrections may be made by the City Attorney for any conforming amendments to be incorporated into the final resolution for signature. The applicant will be responsible for the remaining estimated cost of $26,326.00, which includes a parking space rental, full police staffing costs via RollKall, and the application and administrative fee. BACKGROUND: Pub 52 Sports Bar & Kitchen, LLC has submitted a request to host a weekly Sunday Motorcycle Show on SW 73rd Street between SW 58th Court and SW 58th Avenue. The event would run from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM from August 10 through December 28, 2025, with setup from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and breakdown from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This free community event is designed to support local businesses and encourage neighborhood engagement. Nearby businesses have been notified of the planned street closure and have expressed their support. A similar event at the applicant’s sister location in Broward County has seen success. All entertainment will be held inside the venue, with no outdoor programming activities. The applicant has been advised to encourage attendees to use main roads when leaving to help minimize noise in residential areas. Attendance is expected to range between 75 and 100 people. Pub 52 has requested a $31,892.49 fee waiver for a weekly motorcycle show spanning twenty-one (21) Sundays from August 10 to December 28, 2025. We anticipate the event will draw 75–100 guests each week to our block, generating much-needed foot traffic for the area—especially during the quieter summer season when local businesses, including ours, have seen a notable drop-in activity. We have spoken with neighboring businesses who are also in favor of this initiative, recognizing the mutual benefits it could bring to the community at large. Our goal is to create a family-friendly, engaging local experience that brings people together and revitalizes interest in South Miami's unique offerings. This concept has been tested successfully for the past three years at our sister location, Marina84, in Broward County, with consistent attendance and positive economic impact on the surrounding area.
