The following questions were asked : -Why was the large , old tree and other trees removed? Was there a permit ? On 2-22-88 , the ERPB granted preliminary approval for the construction of the South Miami Professional Building at the above referenced address . This preliminary approval included a landscaping plan for the removal of the large ficus tree , and its I replacement . Final approval was then given on 4-5-88 for the project , including the landscaping plan (attached please find the minutes of said meetings ) . Permit# 88-°0336-15 was issued on 5-23-88 for the removal of 1 (one ) large Fi.cus and two small Oaks (see attached ) . Removal of the trees was begun on 7- 1--88 . -Why is construction work and excavation being -done at night and weekends ? There are no restriction in the South Florida Building Code governing hours of construction . The only restriction in the South Miami Code of Ordinance pertaining to construction comes under, Section 15- 1 . 1`t—P tates that the use of pile-drivers , steam shovels , pneumatic hammers , or other apparatus which create loud or unusual noise is restricted between the hours of 10 : 00 PM and 7 : 00 Art.
