1. THIS PROJECT IS A SUITE THAT SHALL BE ADDED TO PLAZA 57
BLDG. MAIN PANEL EXISTING, EDWARDS EST 2.
2. SUITE WILL BE PROVIDED WITH DETECTOR, STROBES, AND HORNS.
PANEL IS EXISTING AS SHOWN AT RISER DIAGRAM.
3. CALCULATION WILL SHOW EFFECT ON EXISTIrG SYSTEM ONLY.
SBOU R CE OIF OPERATION
1. SEQUENCE OF OPERATION SHALL AS FOLLOWS:
A. OPERATION OF TAMPER SWITCH - SUPERVISORY INDICATION.
9. C. OPERATION OF PULL STATION- ALARM I(DICATIM, ACTIVATION OF AUDIOVISUAL AND VISUAL DEVICES.
OPERATION OF SMOKE, HEAT, FLOW SWITCH - A•.ARM INDICATION. ACTIVATION OF AUDIOVISUAL AND VISUAL DEVICES, SHUTDOWN
OF AIR HANDLING UNIT(S) IN THE AREA WHERE SIGNAL ORIGINATED.
0. DUCT MOUNTED DETECTOR PROVIDE ALARM INDICATION AT THE PANEL ONLY.
2. JURISDICTION: FINAL DECISION ON SYSTEM OPERATION DURING ALARM CONDITION AND LOCATION OF
CENTRALIZED PERMANENTLY SUPERVISED LOCATION SHALL BE ESTABLISHED BY OWNER, FIRE MARSHALL
AND RULING AUTHORITIES. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE OPERATION AND LOCATION OF DEVICES
ACCORDINGLY BEFORE COMMENCING WORK.
3. TESTING: UPON COMPLETION OF THE INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT A COMPLETE TEST OF
THE SYSTEM AREA AFFECTING THE TENANT SPACE IN QUESTION IN THE PRESENCE OF THE TENANT,
LANDLORD AND FIRE DEPARTMENT'S REPRESENTATIVE(S). ANY CORRECTIONS TO THE SYSTEM
REQUIRED FOR FINAL APPROVAL SHALL FIE DONE.
FIRE ALARM NOTES
1. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM AND DEVICES TO BE UL USTED, POWER LIMITED
AND COMPATIBLE.
2. VISUAL ALARM PER A.N.S.I. A 117.1.4.26 AND F.B.C.
3. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL BE TOTALLY SUPERVISED.
4. UPON ACTIVATION OF ANY MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC DEVICE A RED
LED SHALL ILUMINATE ZONE IN ALARM AT F.A.C.P., IN ADDITION A
LOCAL AUDIBLE ALARM SHALL SOUND THE GENERAL EVACUATION
SIGNAL. IF AN INITIATION OR SIGNALING DEVICE IS DISCONNECTED
OR WIRING TO THOSE DEVICES ARE CUT AN APPROPRIATE YELLOW
TROUBLE LED SHALL ILUMINATE AND AN AUDIBLE SIGNAL SHALL
SOUND AT THE F.A.C.P.
5. THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE BATTERY BACK-UP FOR 60 HOURS IN THE
SUPERVISORY MODE AND 5 MINUTES MINIMUM IN ALARM.
6. THE INSTALLATION SHALL COMPLY WITH N.E.C. CHAPTER 760
AND N.F.P.A. 72.
7. ALL CEILINGS ARE LESS 10' UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTICE.
8. ALL COMPONENTS ARE LISTED FOR FIRE SERVICE USE.
9. THE EST2 PANEL PROVIDE A GONIROL OF 96 DETECTORS
AND 94 MODULES PER CIRCUIT AND PER LOOPS.(SEE CUT -SHEET)
10. HEAT DETECTOR IN ELEVATOR SHAFT SHALL BE FIXED TEMPERATURE. 1357.
24" MAXIMUM DISTANCE FROM SPRINKLER HEAD. PER FIRE DEPARMENT
HEAT SENSOR SHALL BE PART OF THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM,
CORRELATE TO A SMART RELAY TO ACTIVATE THE SHUNT TRIP FOR ELEVATORS
UPON ALARM ON THE HEAT DETECTOR.
FIRE ALARM MUST PROVIDE SUPERVISION FOR POWER AT THE SHUNT TRIP SYSTEM.
11. PROVIDE RELAY FOR FIRE HAT ACTIVATION AT ELEVATOR CAR, UPON ALARM
AT SMOKE DETECTORS AT THE MACHINE ROOM & ELEVATOR SHAFT.
12. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IS A REMOTE MONITORING STATION WITH 2 LINES DIALER.
13. NOTIFICATION APPLIANCE CIRCUITS (NAC) SHALL BE CLASS "B", STYLE "Y"
WITH AN AVERAGE OUTPUT OF 2 AMPS.
14. SEQUENCE OF ELEVETOR CAPTURE:
A. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR AT MACHINE ROOM SHALL CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO THE FIRST FL.
IN ADDITION FIRE HAT AND ELEVATOR WARNING LIGHT AT ELEVATOR CAR SHALL BE ACTIVATED.
B. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR A'F FIRST FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO THE
SECOND FLOOR.
C. INITIATION OF HEAT DETECTOR (OPEN AREA) AT SECOND AND THIRD FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO THE
FIRST FLOOR.
D. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR FROM FOUTII AND FIFTH FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO THE FIRST FLOOR.
