Res No 064-22-15817RESOLUTION NO. 064-22-15817 A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to procure playground components and parts from Advanced Recreational Concepts, LLC for repairs to the playground structures at Marshall Williamson Park. WHEREAS, the City installed two (2) new playground st ructures at Marshall Williamson Park in 2014; and WHEREAS, as a result of ordinary use and exposure over the years, a few parts and components are required for replacement suc h as a shade canopy and multiple play type components; and WHEREAS, Playcraft Systems , LLC is the manufactu rer of the playground structures at Marshall Williamson Park and no one other th an Playcraft Sys t ems, LLC manufactures these items, thus making Playcraft the sole source. Advanced Recreational Concepts, LLC is the sole authorized distributer and insta ller of Playcraft Systems in the state of Florida (letter attached); and WHEREAS, the purcha se order shall not to exceed $6,741.28. Thi s request is for procurement and delivery only; city maintenance sta ff wi ll conduct hardware and component installation . NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The foregoing recitals are h ereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this re so lution up on adoption hereof. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to procure playground components and parts from Advanced Recreational Concepts, LLC for repairs to the playground structures at Marshall Williamson Park in the amount of $6,741.28. The total expenditure shall be charged to the Parks and Recreation Repair & Maintenance account number 001-1750-519-4620, w hich has a balance of $31,748 before this request was made. Section 3. Corrections. Conforming lan gua ge or technical scrivener-type corrections may be made by the City Attorney for any confo rmin g amendments to be incorporated into the final resolution for signature. Section 4. Severability. If any section clause, se ntence, or phrase of this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent ju risd iction, the holding will not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution.
