The additional spaces required are a result of the proposed storage containers, riot the existing facility. The following two variances relate to landscaping. These variance requests could be eliminated, but it would be at the expense of additional parking spaces. The,:-first .four of the variance requests listed above are not based on hardship. The property taxes have gone up since I purchased two adjacent, income properties. This past year they rose 65 % on one piece and 31 % on the other. This would increase our losses by over $ 4000 which is insurmountable for a retired person. Therefore on one piece we are trying to make this loss up by utilizing some excessa.rea for "mini-storage use". This requiressome var- iances due to the very strict interpretation of the ordances for our modern garden city. The above hardship is also amplified by our losses in 1982 of $( 19, 072) , 1983 of ($22, 794) , and 1984 of ($16, 004. 90) . We would be glad to substantiate all of the above figures.
