I am having plans prepared for the immediate development of a parcel of
vacant land at number--58'25',,S.- W. 68th Street; South Miami, Dade County ( Lots 18, 19,
20, 21, & 22; Town site of Larkins, Block 8, P. B. 2, Page 105); which is immediately
South of the city park. The anticipated construction will require either a wall or the rear
portion of the building, depending on the outcome of an application for zoning variance(s).
As the subject property adjoins the city park (to the North), I feel that the addition of
landscaping to the backside of the proposed wall/structure, would soften the visual impact
of the project, when viewed from the park.
I am prepared to specify in the plans, prior to submission to the Planning and
Zoning departments, an appropriate amount of landscaping to achieve this end. I will
donate the total costs of labor, materials, and design, to implement said landscaping;
to the North of the property line.
I welcome your comments and suggestions on this matter, an anticipate a
timely response and meeting with yourself, or other city representative to further discuss
the matter and hopefully assure an expedient implementation.
