A Resolution relating to budget; authorizing a transfer of $28,379 from the City
Manager General Contingency account to the City Manager Contractual Services
account.
WHEREAS, it is requested that the budget for City Manager Contractual Services be increased by $28,379
from account No. 001.1310.513.9920 City Manager General Contingency with a current balance of $100,000;
and,
WHEREAS, the funds from the City Manager Contractual Services account line item will be used to pay
for the costs associated with the Demolition of the building structure located at 5890 SW 69 Street (Old
Inspection Station); and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission desire to transfer sufficient funds from account No.
001.1310.513.9920 City Manager General Contingency, with a current balance of $100,000, to account No.
001.1310.513.3450, City Manager Contractual Services, with a current balance of $52,485.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
MIAMI, FLORIDA THAT;
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and they are
incorporated into this resolution by reference as if set forth in full herein.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer sufficient funds in the amount of $28,379
from account No. 001.1310.513.9920 City Manager General Contingency, with a current balance of $100,000,
to account No. 001.1310.513.3450, City Manager Contractual Services, with a current balance of $52,485.
Section 3. Corrections. Conforming language or technical scrivener -type corrections may be made
by the City Attorney for any conforming amendments to be incorporated into the final resolution for
signature.
Section 4. Severability. If any section clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is for any reason
held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions of this resolution.
Section 5. Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.

Background: It is requested that the budget for City Manager Contractual Services be
increased by $28,379 from account No. 001.1310.513.9920 City Manager
General Contingency with a current balance of $100,000. This request is to
help fund the costs associated with the Demolition of the building structure
located at 5890 SW 69 Street (Old Inspection Station). It is necessary for
the City to demolish the current structure prior to moving forward with
plans for a new Police Station.
Transfer Amount: $28,379.00
Transfer From: Account number 001.1310.513.9920 City Manager General Contingency,
with a current balance of $100,000.
Transfer To: Account number 001.1310.513.3450, City Manager Contractual Services,
with a current balance of $52,485.

A Resolution requesting the City Manager issue an RFP for the demolition of the
property located at 5890 SW 691h Street.
WHEREAS, the City owns the property located at 5890 SW 691h Street, South Miami, FL
33143;and
WHEREAS, the City has been in the process of cleaning the area surrounding the
building on property, including fixing the fence and cleaning the graffiti to make it more
aesthetically pleasing; and
WHEREAS, the City previously issued RFQ #PW2020-27 for Architectural and
Engineering Services for a New Police Headquarters to be located at the property; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to demolish the current structure prior to moving
forward with plans for a new Police Station.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE
