Gentlemen Attached hereto you will. find the Board+s recommenda.. tions for Zoning changes following scheduled hearings called in accordance with the terms° of Ordinance 98,E on May 22 and WAY 29, respectively. In addition theretop we would like to go on record as protesting the issuance of a permit for the watermelon open-air shack on the Main thoroughfare practically in the heart of the business district. Even tho It is a temporary propositions it definitely leaves a bad impression for that poriod and is not in keeping with the type of development and construction the City is trythg to encourages in that area. Florida March 6, 1946 City Council South Miami Florida Dear Sirs: I wish to apply for a change of zoning from residential to C=2 for my property on Red Road and North Fourth Street. I wisb that change for the south 225 feet on Red Road.for a, depth of 150 feet, and for the depth of 150 feet and the full length on North Fourth Street. This is the old Heim property and is now known as Fernwood. On the opposite side of North Fourth Street from my property, there is industrial zoning which would discourage residential building on .North Fourth Street. On the Red Road side we have the railroad at the corner which would also discourage residential construction. I hereby agree to move my used goods business to a line 150 feet west of Red Road, and am willing to(ake this move a condition governing the change of zoning.
