Res No 106-19-15378RESOLUTION NO.: 1 06-19-1 5378 A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to expend an amount not to exceed $11,850 for Coda Roofing to remove the current roof and install a new roof at the Police Department first floor located at 6130 SW Sunset Drive. WHEREAS, the existing roof is approximately 25 years old and experiencing damage due to numerous leaks; and WHEREAS, the useful life of the roof has been exceeded and is deteriorating daily; and WHEREAS, the roof leaks have also caused interior damage due to water intrusion; and WHEREAS, the proposal includes the permit, inspections, removal of the existing roof, installation and a 5-year manufacturer warranty. WHEREAS, the City obtained quotes from 3 different sources and Coda Roofing was the most responsive bidder. WHEREAS, the expenditure shall be charged to departmental Capital Improvements account number which has a current balance of $before this request. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $11,850 for Coda Roofing to remove the current roof and install a new roof at the police Department first floor. Section 2. Severability. If any section, clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, this holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution.
