APPLICANT'S REQUEST:
The applicant is requesting final approval for the exterior paint colors of the proposed one-story
single-family residences.
BACKGROUND:
On February 18, 2003, and again on March 4, 2003, the Board deferred the proposal to allow
the applicant to bring new drawings that would differentiate the elevations of the houses. At this
time, the applicant has complied with the Board's suggestions and architectural details have
been included to the front facades. For example, shutters at the windows, moldings adjacent to
the front door, coins, and porch railings. The applicant worked with staff in presenting an
exterior paint multicolor scheme to accent the architectural details. A rendering will be
presented at the meeting.
Even though it was not mentioned in the motion at the previous above-mentioned meetings, the
Board found no objections with the building and landscaping design.
Note: (remember the fence issue)
There has been no change in the floor plans and all they all are single-family homes with three
bedrooms and one bath.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval

Please be advised that the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami has been awarded a
total of$100,000 by the South Miami Community Redevelopment Agency(CRA) Board
for the five homes to be built on the Marshall Williamson property. The purpose of the
funding is to offset costs to individualize these homes by introducing a number of
exterior design elements. The community and the CRA appreciate the contribution the
Habitat for Humanity is making toward meeting our affordable housing needs. However,
the community would very much like to see that the Habitat for Humanity provides some
variations in the exterior design, so the homes do not all look alike. Attached is a list of '
agreed upon design features to be used in the homes to achieve variations in exterior
treatment of these homes. Please consider these in your deliberations as you approve the
homes. Thank you for your consideration.

DESIGN SPECiFICATTONS FOR THE
"MARSHALL`S'ILLIAMSON"PROPERTY
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami (HFHGM) agrees to construct homes on
the "Marshall Williamson"Property pursuant to the following design specifications:
1. a five lot design to construct five, four bedroom/two bathroom models
provided that there is a sufficient number of homeowners, which meet HFHGM's criteria
for such models.
2. Decorative window treatments (i.e., shutters, window dividers, moldings,
sashes or windowsills).
3. Wooden property fences.
4. Landscaping enhancements which exceed the code requirements and the
design previously utilized by HFHG.Ni for the homes constructed in the Cite of South
Miami
5. Decorative trim that enhances the aesthetics of the front porch..
6. Reflective roofing materials.
