Chat tn(` territorial boundary of said City should be reduced 1- ontracted so that 010 south half of section 36, all of sections 35 an(I 26, all in towii!001) 54 S of range 40 F., and all of Section I of T(, 55 S of Range 40 t, all of which said tracts are included in and comprise a part of the corporate limits of South Miami, should be eliminated therefrom; Now therefore, be it resolved by the City council of the Citv of South Miami, Florida that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to have inserted in the Miami Herald, a newspaper published in Dade County, Florida, for the time required by law, notice that it is the intention of this council to petition the Legislature of the State of Florida at its 1933 session for the enactment of a law contracting the territorial limits of said City of South Miami by eliminating therefrom said above described tracts of land, or along other lines, if-deemed to be more equitable or desirable.. ATTEST: City Clerk rest ent of the ounce RESOLUTION NO. 83 This Council being advised that Mr. Howard Gibbons and others have sued out a writ of injunction restraining L. B. Leatherman, Clerk of Circuit Court, from issuing tax deeds based on tax certificates hereto- fore sold b the City of South Miami and it a " Y y , appearing to the Council that if an injunction will lie against City tax certificates sold by the City of South Miami, it will with like force apply to the unsold city tax certificates therefore, be it resolved that it is the opinion of this Council that said suit should be defended by the City of South Miami, and be it further resolved that Mr. J. C. Sullivan, Attorney at Law be, and he is, hereby authorized and requested to intervene in said suit in whatever manner, legal and proper that the interest of the City of South Miami may be properly and adequately protected.
