GENERAL NOTES:
1.— SYSTEM ,SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A LOCAL INDICATOR /ALARM AND WITH A RELAY TO SHUT
DOWN THE +SUPPLY FAN (IF APPLICABLE) WHEN THE SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED, TURN ON EXHAUST FAN
AND SHUT OFF ALL ELECTRIC UNDER THE HOOD. (BY OTHERS)
2.— KITCHEN FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM WILL SHUT OFF THE GAS VALVE TO BE
INSTALLED IN AN ACCESSIBLE PLACE BELOW THE CEILING. (IF APPLICABLE)
3.— PIPE SHALL BE 3/8" SCHEDULE 40 BLACK IRON.
4.— ONE "K" CLASS FIRE EXTINGUISHER WILL BE LOCATED WITHIN 30 FEET OF THE COOKING
HOOD AS PER THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE.
5.— A BALLOON TEST TO BE PERFORMED TO ENSURE THAT THE SYSTEM FUNCTIONS PROPERLY.
NITROGEN WILL BE BLOWN THROUGH THE LINES TO VERIFY PIPING IS UNOBSTRUCTED.
6.— THE INSTALLATION COMPLIES WITH NFPA 17A AND NFPA 96.
7.— ONLY MANUFACTURES LISTED COMPONENTS ARE USED FOR AND WITH THIS SYSTEM.
8.— IN AREA OF PENETRATION, CONDUIT AND PIPING WILL HAVE GREASE TIGHT FITTINGS.
9.— THE SYSTEM IS TO BE REVIEWED AND TESTED BY THE LOCAL (AHJ). I.E. FIRE MARSHALL.
THIS HOOD IS PROTECTED BY THE ANSUL R -102 FIRE
SUPPRESSION SYSTEM WITH TWO 3.OGAL. AGENT TANKS.
THE TOTAL NUMBER OF FLOW POINTS OCCUPIED BY THE
SYSTEM IS 17 FLOW POINTS OF THE 22 AVAILABLE FLOWS.
