NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES [EB-96-098] & [EB-96-099] Applicant: Habitat for Humanity (Property Owner) Address: 6120 SW 63 Street& 6130 SW 63 Street Note: New CBS single-story four bedroom and two bath residences on vacant lots in the RS-4 single family zoning district. Staff: Staff recommends approval of the application as submitted. Mr. Gary Milford and Ms. Betty Mullen, both of Habitat for Humanity, signed in as the representatives. Staff stated that approval of the application, as submitted, is recommended. In consideration of the application, Mr. Cooke-Yarborough inquired if the proposed residences will be "mirror images" of each other. Mr. Cooke-Yarborough also inquired as to whether the front entrances for the residences will be farther apart or closer together. Following a brief review of the plans, Mr. Milford replied that the front entrances will be farther apart. As review continued, the Board discussed the colors included in the application. In response to Mr. Cooke-Yarborough's question, staff confirmed that different colors are proposed for the residences. Mr. Cooke-Yarborough stated, in reference to the submitted "Dixieland" color for the.6130 residence, that that particular color may be too "somber", and he asked that the applicant consider an alternative color. Mr. Diaz asked that the applicant consider using the City's color palette in making a selection for the subject residence. Mr. Diaz stated that, he too, would be hesitant to approve the Dixieland color for the 6130 residence. Motion: Mr. Feliu moved approval of the application, based on the condition that the applicant return with an alternative color scheme, referencing a lighter, brighter color, for the proposed residence at 6130 SW 63 Street..
