RESOLUTION NO. 168-96-9922 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to improve City Hall and the Sylva Marting Building in order to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; and, WHEREAS, the City has received bids for the construction of the improvements as included in construction documents prepared by M. C. Harry & Associates. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with WPR Contracting, Inc. for the amount of $ 42,143.41 and that the disbursement be charged to account number 2100-5510 Contingencies. Harry and Associates to provide A/E services for the preparation of construction documents for improvements to City Hall and the Sylva Martin Building in order to comply with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. RECOMMENDATION: That the construction contract be awarded to the second lowest bidder; WPR Contracting, Inc. for $ 42,143.41.
