Res No 134-96-9888RESOLUTION NO. 134 -96 -9888 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, RELATING TO RATIFICATION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND (AFSCME) BETWEEN THE AMERICAN MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES LOCAL 3294 AND THE CITY PROVIDING A THREE PERCENT (30) WAGE BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES. OF SOUTH MIAMI, INCREASE FOR ALL WHEREAS, the current agreement, signed September 7, 1995, provided for a re- opener on a limited number of issues in 1996 and WHEREAS, a request was made by AFSCME representatives to re- open the i s sue of wages, for amendment of the current agreement, and discussions were held subsequent to that request; and WHEREAS, as a result of those discussions, an agreement was reached between AFSCME and the City of South Miami, to provide a three percent increase for all bargaining unit employees who are employed in positions covered by the agreement is ratified by the Commission, period after October 1, 1996* unit on the date this effective the first pay NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA. Section 1.
