Approval of engine replacement
for police patrol vehicle
The attached resolution seeks approval for a $3,156.00 expense to replace the engine on
police patrol vehicle no. 94 -01. Three price quotes were obtained for this work, and the
lowest quote was provided by Gables Lincoln Mercury.
The 1994 vehicle has 51,546 miles, and is in good condition overall. In order to maintain
the required complement of patrol vehicles and avoid the $18,000 expense of purchasing
a new one as a replacement, it is recommended that the repair expense of $3,156.00 be
approved by the Mayor and City Commission.
