Approval of expenditure
for electrical work - Dante Fascell
The attached resolution addresses an expenditure of $1,160.00 for electrical work at
Dante Fascell Park. The work is required to relocate the underground electrical lines due
to the installation of a new drain field. It includes trenching, replacing the conduit and
pulling the wiring, and backfilling the trench. City crews do not have all the tools
available nor the full range of expertise to complete this work.
Three price quotes were obtained from qualified contractors, resulting in a low bid of
$1,160.00 from Langer Electric Company. Langer is fully qualified for this project, as
they have been contracted for electrical work by several other municipalities.
Based on the need to contract out this work, it is recommended that the expense of
$1,160.00 be approved by the Mayor and City Commission.
