_add-on a)Add-on Item a) Sponsored by: Commissioner Liebman City Commission Meeting: 01-16-18 Page 1 of 2 RESOLUTION NO. _________________ 1 2 A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to amend the budget with regard to 3 funds set aside within the capital improvement fund for the installation of 4 solar at the public works and pool facilities and reallocating the funds for the 5 installation of playground equipment at Dison and Van Smith Park. 6 7 WHEREAS, the City Charter, Article IV, Section 2, F. (1) provides that “at the request of 8 the City Manager, the Commission may at any time transfer, by resolution, any unencumbe red 9 appropriation balance or portion thereof between general classification of expenditure within 10 an office or department”; and 11 WHEREAS, it is requested that the budget for Capital Improvement Program Fund Parks 12 & Recreation Improvement line item, 301-2000-572-6450 be increased by $70,000.00 from 13 account No. 301-1790-519-6450 by $25,000 and account No. 301-2020-572-6450 by $45,000; 14 and, 15 WHEREAS, it is essential to provide sufficient funds to pay for the design and installation 16 of new playground equipment at Dison and Van Smith Park. 17 18 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE 19 CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: 20 21 Section 1. The Mayor and City Commission approve setting aside funds within the 22 capital improvement fund for the installation of solar at the public works and pool facilities and 23 reallocating the funds for the installation of playground equipment at Dison and Van Smith 24 Park. 25 26 Section 2. The Mayor and City Commission approve the Capital Improvement Program 27 Fund Parks & Recreation Improvement line item, 301-2000-572-6450 be increased by 28 $70,000.00 from account No. 301-1790-519-6450 by $25,000 and account No. 301-2020-572-29 6450 by $45,000. 30 31 Section 3. Severability. If any section clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is for 32 any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding 33 shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution. 34 35 Section 4. Effective Date.
