1a1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 RESOLUTION NO. ___ _ A Resolution instructing the City Manager to provide assistance to the South Miami Community Redevelopment Agency to draft an amendment to the City's Comprehensive Plan and the zoning of certain properties located west of the MetroRail Transit Station, south of S.W. 70 th Street, east of S.W. 61 st Court and north of S.W. nod Street to change the zoing to promote transit- oriented redevelopment and affordable housing within the South Miami Community Redevelopment Area. 11 WHEREAS, the South Miami Community Redevelopment Agency ("SMCRA") has 12 adopted a resolution indicating that it will be the sponsor of a small-scale land use plan amendment 13 to change the land use designation of certain parcels located within the South Miami Community 14 Redevelopment Area from Mixed Use Commercial Residential (Four Story) to T.O.D.D. (4+4 15 Story) and to change the zoning of certain parcels located within the South Miami Community 16 Redevelopment Area from MO (Medium Intensity Office) to TODD MU-5 and to change the 17 zoning of certain other parcels located within the South Miami Community Redevelopment Area 18 from TODD MU-4 to TODD MU-S, a copy of which Resolution is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". 19 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY 21 COMMJISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: 22 23 Section 1.. The City Commission accepts the Resolution of the CRA and hereby 24 instructs the City Manager assist the SMCRA Board in its sponsorship of the land use plan 25 amendment and the zoning amendments authorized by the CRA Resolution by preparing city- 26 initiated amendment documentation and by processing and expediting a small-scale land use plan 27 amendment to change the land use designation of certain parcels identified in the CRA Resolution 28 from Mixed Use Commercial Residential (Four Story) to T.O.D.D. (4+4 Story) and zoning 29 amendments to change the zoning of certain parcels identified in the CRA Resolution from MO 30 (Medium Intensity Office) to TODD MU-5 and to change the zoning of certain other parcels 31 identified in the CRA Resolution from TODD MU-4 to TODD MU-S. 32 33 Section 2. The City Manager is instructed to expedite the requisite notice(s) in order to 34 place the CRA sponsored, city-initiated applications before the City Commission and the Planning 35 Board for further action at their next available meetings. 36 37 Section 3. Severability. If any section clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is for 38 any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall 39 not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution. 40 41 Section 4.
