■ We'll be removing & disposing of the existing wood borders and

o We've included two (2) Integrated 12' Hex Shade Canopies (144 sq. ft. ea. = 288
total Sq. Ft.) using Commercial 95 Shade Fabric. Meets bid requirement
o We've included an ADA Compliant Concrete Walkway from parking lot to
playground
o The Playground is Wheelchair Accessible (Includes Transfer Station) & Meets
All Current ADA Requirements, as noted on each drawing, per manufacturer.
o We're providing Certified Blow -In Wood Mulch (ADA Certified ASTM F1951) at
a 12" depth.
o We're providing Composite Borders to complete the playground area, and to
go around the Swing area as well.
o Geotextile Fabric has been added at this park only, as it must go over existing
sand & under the 12" of ADA Wood Mulch, Without Geotextile Fabric wood
mulch would become integrated & contaminated with sand, which would ruin
the safety component of wood mulch. That would defeat the reason for wood
mulch. Additionally, we've included geotextile fabric under the swings as well.
o The 5 -12 playground structure, when including the swings, includes 12 of the
12 recognized types of play.
o Everything else meets or exceeds your 5 -12 bid requirements
• Murray Park
o We're removing and demolishing the existing Playground structure & Swing Set
structure. They'll be disposed of off -site.
o We're Furnishing and Installing a new 5 -12 year olds playground 45' x 55'
within the existing playground area (This design meets your bid requirement)
o We're providing a Sand Box area within the concrete borders in an area that
would otherwise be unusable because of its restrictive dimensions

Whenever two or more Bids or Proposals which are equal with respect to price, quality and service are received
by the State or by any political subdivisions for the procurement of commodities or contractual services, a Bid or

The Proposal Analysis was never intended to directly correspond with the Evaluation Criteria
on page 24, but only to provide important information for the evaluators.
Question #4:
Please advise how you would rate 20 points on durability and warranty. Warranty is pretty
much the same for all manufacturers. How do you contemplate on evaluate on durability.
Would it be based on site visits to playgrounds over five years old?
Answer to Question #4:
Durability can be evaluated on several factors, such as wind calculations and load capacity per
manufacturer and specifications, structural design based on ASTMA and ANSI, etc. Warranty
will be evaluated based on manufacturer specifications provided in the submittals; warranties
vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Question #5:
Depending upon reply additional time for RFI should be granted.

The Submittal Due Date will not be extended at this time.
