This letter has been prepared by Dynamic Media Technologies, Inc. DBA IT Support
Miami, henceforth referred to as IT Support Miami, to announce this group’s
intension to apply for RFP #IT-2014-01 Information Technology (It) Maintenance and
Related Services. We acknowledge receipt of the RFP documentation and addendums
and are more than qualified to deliver the scope of services identified there in.
IT Support Miami is a minority women owned business established 2002 located just a
few blocks from City Hall at 1430 S. Dixie HWY Suite 316B, Coral Gables, FL 33146
(Tel. 305-662-4755). Led by JP Roatta (Tel. 305-662-4755 ext. 2000, Email.
jp@itsupportmiami.com), a native of South Miami for more than 45 years, IT Support
Miami provides managed Information Technology services to business located
throughout South Florida, the United States, Europe and the Americas. We are a local
firm with a global presence.
Our strategy is to understand your overall business objectives and then determine
how information technology can help you achieve those goals. We then provide you
with quality and reliable support services in the most cost -effective manner to keep
your infrastructure running at peak performance. Our experience speaks for itself –
we currently manage over 700 hundred servers, desktops and network devices.
As a managed services provider (MPS), IT Support Miami has created systematic
procedure for delivering managed services. We have created procedures and
templates for easy management of servers, workstations, network and data across any
enterprise. The template is also integrated into our web-based IT support ticketing
system where we can proactively monitors client networks and computers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND E XPERIENCE
APPROACH
IT Support Miami has been in business for more than 12 years and is a leader in
Information Technology (IT) Managed Services. Specialties include: IT systems
architecture and integration; hands-on VMware, Microsoft, Apple and Linux system
design, installation and management; network architecture design, installation and
management – firewalls, routers, Wi-Fi and switches; web / app design and
development and support; software programming and database administration; and IT
security – penetration tests, access management and PCI compliance; and IT
consulting and audit. Directed by Mr. JP Roatta, IT Support Miami blends hands-on
experiences with industry best practices and business process from many different
Fortune 500 companies as well as state and local governments.
Our team of project managers, technicians and engineers are highly qualified in the
latest technologies. We have two managers responsible for Help Desk and Enterprise
activities. We will provide a full time onsite service technician as detailed in the RFP.
Along with a full time onsite service technician, we will provide a fully staffed Help
Desk - level 1, 2 and 3 technicians and engineers.
Support Activities:
Full time onsite service technician – Addressing day to day support requests.
Staffed Help Desk - Ticket tracking through the web, email and phone. Our
support team is expertly trained to handle your support requests and provide
superior customer service at all times.
CIO, Project Management and City’s Liaison - IT Support Miami will participate
in external and internal business meetings to help suggest efficiencies for
business projects that are interdependent on technology and IT. This includes
review and procurement of telecomm lines and Internet services as well as
general IT project management.
Onsite, telephone and remote access support for networks, servers, PCs and
other related equipment including Public Records Requests. Our support team
will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues in a timely manner. We don't just
solve the problem and leave. Instead, we demonstrate to the user how they
can prevent the same issue(s) from happening again.
Scheduled preventative maintenance – for example setup Microsoft WSUS and
other services for Patch management.

Software support of approved programs on Mobile Devices / iPads, PCs, laptops
and servers. As software programs are updated, we make sure you're running
the updated versions.
Provide copier, printer and scanner connectivity and functionality; we
troubleshot most software and basic hardware problems; and recommend the
best solution. This includes determining if it is possible to repa ir the device or
if the device needs to be replaced.
On-site preventive maintenance may be performed on a scheduled basis and/or
after-hours when possible. IT Support Miami will advise when equipment
and/or software are not functioning properly and should be replaced.
End-user training.
We understand managed IT services and work to establish policies and automation to
constantly maintain and update your systems. IT Support Miami will perform remote
and on-site maintenance including any or all of the follo wing:
virus/malware/spyware/adware scans and removal; and proactive management of the
backup system(s), hard disk usages and utilizations of data space, hard disk integrity
and defragmentation, software updates, and temporary file usages and removals.
We will provide complete server administration services including hardware and
software installation and maintenance; backups and imaging; software services and
data management; user and security management and policy creation. We currently
manage VMware, Microsoft Windows, MAC / APPLE, Linux/ UNIX and AS400 servers.
We will provide software support for VMware, Microsoft Windows, MAC / APPLE,
Linux/ UNIX and AS400 as well as Third-Party Applications identified in the RFP. We
have extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange (versions include 2003-2013),
Laserfiche Document Mgmt., Microsoft Active Directory, Barracuda appliances email
archival (and appliances), ERPs and software development like ASP.net, PHP, and
Dreamweaver. Our extensive experience with several large accounting software
packages like Solomon / Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, and MAS 90, we will be able to
support the SunGuard software products. Our experience with Microsoft SharePoint
and Laserfiche allows us to lead any projects where process and workflow are
required.
IT Support Miami shall provide IT project management and CIO functions. JP Roatta
has 20 years in IT and 8 years working for World class consulting companies like KPMG,
Accenture / Anderson Consulting and Brown and Caldwell. Some of our local
government IT Project management experience includes Miami-Dade county Solid
Waste Software procurement and Jackson Memorial Health Trust assessments and

audit. We will participate in external and internal business meetings to help suggest
efficiencies for business projects that are interdependent on technology and IT.
As an IT managed services provider (MSP), we provide annual assessment to all our
clients. Our assessment includes technology (infrastructure and telecom), people,
process and disaster recovery. Our reports details, risk levels and estimated
remediation costs.
We will provide network administration services including Wide Area Network (WAN),
Local Area Network (LAN), Virtual LAN (vLAN); Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and
Wi-Fi. We support many different firewall, switch and router devices including
devices from Cisco, Barracuda, SonicWALL, 3Com, HP, Netgear etc.
We will provide security administration services including malware and virus
monitoring and removal. We will proactively administrator best practices and
solutions in order to reduce and eliminate the threat of virus, security breaches, and
data loss
IT Support Miami has extensive experience with website (and software) design,
coding and maintenance. We provide content management for several associations
and business. We are familiar with the latest WordPress, Joomla, and other content
management based web programs.
We will provide support for the City’s communications including telephones, cellular
telephones, and voicemail). We currently support many types of telephone / PBX
systems including Avaya, Cisco, Panasonic, Asterisk, etc.
We will provide support for the City’s Channel 77 and the recording of all regular
commission meetings. Our experience includes installation of camera and broadcast
systems at several South Florida Condo Associations and produced the meeting for
recorded and live video streaming.
We feel that we will be key to the success of City’s many ongoing IT projects
including:
Terminal Services project – we have implemented hundreds of Terminal
Services servers (also known as Remote Desktop Service - RDS). We are
currently implementing of an ISP in Seattle WA a fully redundant server
environment using Microsoft Hyper-V running RDS and Virtual Client Machines.
When complete, the system will house over 7,000 users.
Laserfiche Document Mgmt. Software – we were engaged for over a year to
support Laserfiche end-users throughout the Caribbean and Central America.

Experience – JP Roatta graduated in 1993 and started his IT career with a
medical software company in Miami FL where here was responsible for
installation of UNIX workstations and networks in Hospitals around the world
including Asia, Europe, Middle East and the USA. He then became managing
director for the subsidiary software company in Maryland where he managed a
team of developers and system engineers developing and installing Cancer
treatment Software and computers. He then returned to Miami and worked for
Anderson Consulting at Ryder Integrated Logistics. At Ryder, he was project
manager responsible for the IT architecture projects which included managing
Ryder and IBM staff. He then moved to KPMG in the role of manager for IT in
Audit / RISK where he worked with companies like First Union, Jackson
Memorial Health Trust, City of Jacksonville, and Ryder. After 9/11, he worked
at Brown & Caldwell on a large software / systems project for Miami-Dade
County Solid Waste. Finally in 2002, he started IT Support Miami where he
manages a staff of 8 employees. IT Support Miami client list includes more
than 600 business located all over the world including Japan, France , Canada,
Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil and many others.
