A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to permit TacoCraft Miami,LLC located at
5829 SW 73rd street,toholdits 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Block Party.
WHEREAS,Taco Craft Miami,LLC ("the applicant")has submitted a Special Event
Application to hold its 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Block Party ("the block party")on Friday,May
5,2017 from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM;and
WHEREAS,the applicant would liketo host a the festive Mexican themed block party
andextendtheir business onto 73rd street from 58th avenueto 58th court;and
WHEREAS,the applicant haspaid the City$660,which includes a$500 refundable
security deposit,$100 administrative feeand$60 application fee;and
WHEREAS,the applicant is responsible topay the CityforPoliceServices($1,440),Public
Works ($864.52),Street Closure andMOT($270)totaling $2,574.52;and
WHEREAS,the applicant has completed the Special Event Application and has submitted
the necessary Notification/Petition Form signed by businesses that willbe affected by the
requested street closure;and
WHEREAS,upon approval of this event the applicant must provide the City with the
required Certificate ofLiability Insurance that complies with the City's standard insurance
requirements,including naming the Cityof South Miamiasan additional insured prior to the
event.
NOW,THEREFORE,BEIT RESOLVED BYTHE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OFTHE
CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to permit Taco Craft Miami,LLC to
hold a its 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Block Party on 73rd street from 58th avenue to 58th court on
Friday,May 5,2017.
Section 2.The Public Works fee,minus the equipment fee,shall be refunded to the
extent that the cleanup is satisfactory to the Public Works Superintendant.
Section 3.If any section clause,sentence,or phrase of this resolution is for any reason
held invalid or unconstitutional bya court of competent jurisdiction,the holding shall not affect
the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution.
Section 4.Effective Date.This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption by vote of the City Commission.

A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to permit Taco Craft Miami,LLC

Taco CraftMiami,LLC ("the applicant")has submitted a Special Event
Application to hold its 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Block Party ("the block party")
on Friday,May 5,2017 from6:00PMto1:00AM.
The applicant would liketo host a festive Mexican themed block party and
extend their business onto 73rd street from 58th avenue to58thcourt.The
applicant will have a stage,tables andchairs along the street;all sidewalks will
remain open to the public.Barricades and police vehicles will block traffic on
73rd street on 58th avenue and58th court.
The CincoDe Mayo BlockPartywill consist of live music,food and beverages.All
food and beverages willbe catered andsoldby the applicant.The blockparty
willbefreeto the public;foodand beverages willbesold through ticket sales
that canbe purchased at the entrance of the event.Allpublic property including
sidewalks,street gutters,etc.shall be cleaned by the applicant.This event has
an anticipated attendance of 500 people.
The applicant has submitted the necessary Notification/Petition Formsignedby
businesses that willbe affected by the requested street closure.Upon approval
of this event the applicant must provide the City with the required Certificate of
Liability Insurance that complies with the City's standard insurance,
requirements,including naming the City of South Miamiasan additional insured
prior to the event.
Theapplicanthaspaid the City$660,which includes a$60applicationfee,$100

No Street shall be closed without approvalfrom the.City Commission.
Trafficshallbe maintained in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT),Miami-Dade
County standards andanyadditional requirements by the CityofSouthMiamiPublic Works Department
andPolice Department.
Event areasshallbe restored to equal or better condition than they were before the event started.
Anydamagetoprivatepropertyshallberestoredtoits original conditionor better andasacceptedbythe
Owner causedbyapplicantoranyofits agents,servants or employees,invitees and onlookers.
If all restoration work isnot performed within 30days of work completion,the Cityof South MiamiPublic
Works Department mayrestore the event areaandchargetheapplicantfor the costofrestorationand
additional incidental fees.
Applicant must pay.allfeespriorto the dateoftheir event(s).
Applicantsshall notify theCityofSouthMiamiSpecialEventCoordinatoratleastforty-eight(48)hours
priortostartof their event ofany cancellations tobe considered forany refunds.
