Res No 224-16-14779RESOLUTION NO.:224-16-14779 A Resolution authorizing Unlimited Sales Group Inc.to host its First Annual South Miami Food,Wine and Spirits Festival on 72nd Street (Sunset Drive)from South Dixie Highway to 58th Avenue. WHEREAS,Unlimited Sales Group Inc.("the applicant")also known asMiamiEventsand Festival.com has submitted a Special Event application to holditsFirstAnnualFood,Wine and SpiritsFestival on April1 and 2,2017;and WHEREAS,South Miami's Food,Wine and SpiritsFestivalwill feature and partner withlocal South Miami restaurants and the culinary scene in South Miami through (2)two options;Culinary Sampling and Culinary Sales;and WHEREAS,Consumers willbe able to attend this event to sample and discover fine foods and beverages and to attend live demos,tastings and educational seminars;and WHEREAS,the applicant is requesting astreet closure on 72nd Street (Sunset Drive)from US1 tothe westsideof 58th Avenue;and WHEREAS,the festival willbeheld along the street,allowing all sidewalks to remain open to the public;and WHEREAS,the applicant has submitted the necessary notification/petition form signed by businesses that willbe affected by the requested street closure;and WHEREAS,the applicant haspaida$500 refundable deposit,$100 administrative feeand$60 applicationfee totaling $660;and WHEREAS,the applicant willbe responsible topay the followingCity services rendered:Police ($6,630),Public Works ($2,039.04),Street Closure &MOT ($540.75),Parks and Recreation StageandStaff Fees ($666.72),Parking Meters(28metersX$25permeterX2days)($1,400),totaling $11,276.51. Ifall restoration workisnot performed within 30 days ofwork completion,the City ofSouth Miami Public Works Department may restore the event area and charge the applicant for the costof restoration plusa minimum of 15%for administrative fee and any additional incidental fees.
