Ord No 02-17-2272ORDINANCE NO.:02-17-2272 An Ordinance related to the fee schedule;amending Ordinance 12-16-2245 to reduce professional photos and filming fees for special events from the schedule. WHEREAS,at the September 16,2014 City Commission meeting,the Mayor and Commission adopted a new fee schedule allowing funding which will cover the cost of services provided;"and WHEREAS,still photo andfilming fees in the amount of $1,500 and $8,000 per day, respectively,were recommended byCity staff and subsequently approved by the Commission;and WHEREAS,after thorough review and discussion with various municipalities and industry professionals,City staff recommends revising professional photos and filming fees as follow;and Still photo fee:$100/day Filming fee (1-10 person crew):$200/day Filming fee (11-20 person crew):$300/day Filming fee (21+person crew):$500/day WHEREAS,city staff believes the proposed fee structure is competitive compared to other local municipalities and reasonable for industry professionals. NOW,THEREFORE,BEIT ORDAINED BYTHE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OFTHECITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA THAT: Section 1.The Schedule of Fees and Fines,as approved in Ordinance 12-16-2245,is hereby amended to provide professional photos and filming fees for special events,as outlined below. Still photo fee:$100/day Filming fee (1-10 person crew):$200/day Filming fee (11-20 person crew):$300/day Filming fee (21+person crew):$500/day Section 2.The most recently adopted Schedule of Fees Ordinance 12-16-2245,hereto attached,shall remain infullforceandin effect andshallinclude the reduced professional photos and filming fees. Section 3.Anysuch fees maybewaivedor reduced by the Mayor and City Commission by way of Resolution. Section 4.Severability Ifany section,clause,sentence,or phrase of this ordinance isfor any reason heldinvalid or unconstitutional bya court of competent jurisdiction,thisholdingshall not affect the validityof the remaining portions ofthis ordinance.
