ORDINANCE 737ORDINANCE NO. 33 -71 -737 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNICATIONS BUREAU, PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT, METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, AND PROVIDING FOR APPROPRIA- TI(N S UNDER AUTHORITY OF SECTION 15 OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI CHARTER. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,, FLORIDA:. That, pursuant to the authority of Section 15 of Article V of the Charter of the City of South. Miami, and this ordinance, the proper officers of the City be and they hereby are authorized and directed to execute and to carryout for and on behalf of the City of South Miami an agreement with the Communications Bureau, COUNTY OF DADE, a political subdivision of the State of Florida. Said agreement being attached: hereto and, by reference, made a part hereof; it being inherent that appropriations required thereunder shall be included in future budgets during the effective term of said agreement. (4) The City of South Miami shall provide the necessary classroom space and their personnel for such training. The preliminary training to be of no longer than Eight hours. Periodic in- service training shall be no longer than four hours. (5) The management of the police radio communications system shall be within the authority of the Dade County .Public Safety Department. (a) The City of South Miami must provide the availability of all radio equipment for inspecttion and maintenance as required by the Public Safety Department. Dade County may terminate all services to the City of South Miami and this contract will become null and void ;due to non - compliance with any provision of this contract where notice of non - compliance has been submitted in writing to the City of South Miami and compliance has not been rendered within thirty (30 -) days. 4. Title of all radio equipment shall remain with Dade County until the expiration of payments on all such equipment. Custody and complete ownership of all radio equipment shall revert to Dade County only if the monthly payments are in default in excess of three months. 5. The contract shall be for fifty (50) months. 6. The terms of this Agreement shall become effective immediately upon approval of the respective parties to the Agreement.
